Notice of Temporary Traffic Order Milton, A4l30 towards Didcot Reduced Speed Limits UPDATE
Original Date of Order: 5 September 2016 Came into force: 12 September 2016 Works commence: 15 March 2017
This Order was introduced because of ongoing road works which were anticipated to have taken 11 weeks to complete. The original works start date was delayed and is now due to commence on 15 March 2017 for approximately 3 months. The effect of the Order is to temporarily reduce the existing 40mph to 60mph speed limits, as and when appropriate traffic signs are displayed to indicate when the measures are in force: From a point 262 metres east of the Milton Interchange, eastwards for a distance of 820 metres - the speed limit will be 30mph followed by40mph on both carriageways. The lengths will vary as the works progress. Exemptions are included for emergency services. The relevant part of the Oxfordshire County Council (Milton,Abingdon) (Speed Limits) Order 2014 shall be temporarily suspended.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
