NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, under it's relevant powers, have made the U8000 Widemarsh Street, Hereford, Temporary Closure Order 2017 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the following road: U8000 Widemarsh Street from the junction with Conningsby Street to the junction with the A49 Newtown Road OS Grid Ref: 351101/240722. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Newmarket Street or | Blackfriars Street onto the A49 and vice versa. The said closure is required due to resurfacing works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 6th March 2017 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 5 Nights between 19:00hrs and 07:00hrs.
