(DONCASTLE ROAD, BRACKNELL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING] ORDER 2017

Notice is hereby given that Bracknell Forest Borough Council has made an Order, in accordance with Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding:

a) in any direction along Doncastle Road between its roundabout junction with A329 Berkshire Way and its junction with Doncastle Road (West & Northern section);



b) in a northern direction along Doncastle Road (Western section) between its roundabout junction with Peacock Lane and Doncastle Road (Northern Section;



c) in an easterly direction along Doncastle Road (Northern section) between its junction with Doncastle Road and Doncastle Road (Eastern section);



d) in an easterly direction along Oldbury from its junction with Doncastle Road (Eastern section) to a point approximately 75metres east of said junction.



The alternative route for vehicles affected by restriction

(a) will be via A329 Berkshire Way, A3095 Mill Lane and Ellesfield Avenue, or via this route in reversed.



The alternative route for vehicles affected by restriction

(b) will be via Ellesfield Avenue, Doncastle Road (Eastern & Northern section).



The alternative route for vehicles affected by restriction

(c) will be via Doncastle Road (Western section), Ellesfield Avenue and Doncastle Road (Eastern section). The alternative route for vehicles affected by restriction



(d) will be via Willoughby Road and Oldbury.



The purpose of this Order is to enable works to be safely executed on the carriageway, namely the replacement of a water mains pipe.

The Order was made on 26th February 2017 and will come into operation on the 3rd March 2017. Although the Order will have a maximum duration of 12 months it is anticipated that the works requiring the road closure will be completed by the end of June 2017. The proposed road closures will be phased so as to reduce the disruption to adjoining businesses and road users. This Order shall only apply when the appropriate signs are displayed in the road.
