INTRODUCTION OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS

THE MERTON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO. 428) ORDER 2017

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton on 21 February 2017 made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.



2. The general effect of the Order will be to further amend the Merton (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1977 so that waiting by vehicles (otherwise than for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle for twenty minutes) will be prohibited at any time in the roads or lengths of roads indicated in the Schedule to this Notice.



3. A copy of the Order, which will come into force on 27 February 2017, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, including plans specifying the lengths of roads affected by the Order, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5DX.



4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers



of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof, or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

HASLEMERE AVENUE, SW19

(a) the north side, between a point 27 metres south-west of its junction with Homefield Gardens and a point 10 metres north-east of its junction with Homefield Gardens;



(b) the south side, from a point 0.8 metre north-east

PROPOSED RESIDENT/VISITOR PERMIT ONLY PARKING PLACE IN LANCASTER GARDENS

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton under the powers conferred by sections 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make the above mentioned Order.



2. The general effect of the Order would be to change the shared-use parking place in Lancaster Gardens, the north-east to south-west arm, the north-west side, between a point 5.9 metres north-east of the common boundary of Nos. 1 and 3 Lancaster Gardens and a point 6.3 metres south-west of the common boundary of Nos. 3 and 5 Lancaster Gardens so that is may be only used for the leaving of such vehicles as are passenger vehicles, goods carrying vehicles, or invalid carriages displaying a valid resident permit or visitor permit issued in respect of controlled parking zone "VOn". The usual exemptions would apply to motor cycles and vehicles displaying a "blue badge".



3. A copy of the draft Order and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, including a plan which indicates the length of road to which the Order relates can be inspected during the Council's normal office hours Mondays to Fridays at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey.



4. Any person desiring to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objections and the grounds thereof to the Environment and Regeneration Department at the Merton Civic

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

ASHCOMBE ROAD (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate bridge repair and deck replacement works in Ashcombe Road they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, proceeding or waiting in the above-mentioned road.



2. During the works no person will cause or permit any vehicle to enter, proceed or wait (including for the purpose of loading or unloading a vehicle) in Ashcombe Road between its junction with Queen's Road and a point opposite the southern boundary of No. 1 Bridge Villas, Ashcombe Road.



3. The alternative routes for traffic affected by the Ashcombe Road closure will be via Cromwell Road, Gap Road, Haydons Road and Queen's Road.



4. The restrictions will apply only during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.



5. Any vehicle in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal of the Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.



6. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -



(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle; or



(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or



(c) emergency service vehicles, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency; or



(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited roads or length of roads insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.



7. The Order will come into operation on Monday 6 March 2017 and it is anticipated that the works will require 8 weeks to complete. However, the Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 12 months and its provisions will be re-introduced should further works be required.
