PRE-PLANNING APPLICATION PUBLIC CONSULTATION
Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 Regulation 7 (2) (b) of the Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 2013 Proposed Planning-in-Principle application to redevelop the former graving docks and surrounding land, north of Govan Road at 2 Stag Street / 18 Clydebrae Street, Govan, Glasgow, G51 1BG for mixed use development including residential properties.
Notice is hereby given under Regulation 7 (2) (b) of the Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 2013 that, pre-planning application public consultation events are to be held by New City Vision in respect of a future planning-in-principle application to redevelop the site of the former graving docks in Govan for mixed use development including residential (class 9) and a combination of museum/heritage centre (class 10), bar/restaurant (class 3), shop (class 1), office (classes 2 & 4) and hotel (class 7) with associated public realm improvements and engineering works, including access, flood prevention, engineering, landscaping and other works. All existing docks and associated A-listed structures and artefacts would be preserved and restored. Two public drop-in exhibitions will be held on Saturday 4th March 2017 (1pm to 6pm) and Saturday 25th March (1pm to 6pm) in the Riverside Hall, 29-31 Clydebrae Street, Govan, G51 2AJ. Both events will be attended by representatives of the applicant and members of its planning and architectural design team who will be available to take comments, answer questions and provide any additional information. The first exhibition on 4th March will provide information on the proposals and seek comments from the public. All comments should be submitted by Monday 13th March 2017 at the latest. The second exhibition on 25th March will display the final proposals for which ‘in principle’ planning consent will be sought in a subsequent planning application. Please note this notice does not relate to a planning application. As such, comments made to the prospective applicant at this time do not constitute representations to the Planning Authority. When the planning-in-principle application is subsequently submitted to Glasgow City Council, normal neighbour notification and publicity will be undertaken at that time and anybody will be able to make formal representations regarding the proposal directly to the City Council.
