(Methersgate, Basildon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2017

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Methersgate, Basildon in the Basildon District (B), from Whitmore Road to Church Road for a distance approximately 463 m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd May 2017 for 14 days, or where stated on a valid permit. The scheduled dates may vary for these works (EN0142803570 - Essex and Suffolk Water) with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while rectify water damage works are undertaken by Essex and Suffolk Water.

An alternative route is available via Church Road, Whitmore Way and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 2nd May 2017 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. Dated: 23 February 2017
