ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
WOKINGHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL (B3348 FLEET HILL FINCHAMPSTEAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY given that Wokingham Borough Council as Traffic Authority proposes to make an Order under Section 14(1 )(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along B3348 Fleet Hill Finchampstead between its junctions with A327 Reading Road and Longwater Lane.
The reason for this prohibition is to enable BT to undertake installation of a new telegraph pole for a customer connection in safety.
The alternative route for all vehicles affected by this restriction shall be via A327 Eversley Street, B3270 Reading Road, B3016 Longwater Road and B3348 The Village, or by this route in reverse.
The restriction will only be in effect whilst the necessary traffic signs are lawfully displayed. Access for residents and businesses users within the boundary of the restriction will be maintained at all times.
The Order will come into operation at 08:00 hours 12th March 2017 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is however anticipated that works requiring this restriction will be complete by 16:00 hours that same day.
