WOKINGHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL (LODDON BRIDGE ROAD, WOODLEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2017

NOTICE IS HEREBY given that Wokingham Borough Council as Traffic Authority proposes to make an order under Section 14(1 )(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Loddon Bridge Road, Woodley between its junctions with the A329 Wokingham Road and Coppice Road.
The reason for this restriction is to enable street lighting maintenance works to be undertaken in safety.
The alternative route for all vehicles affected by this restriction will be via A329 Wokingham Road, B3350 Church Road, Woodlands Avenue, Crockhamwell Road and Loddon Bridge Road, or by this route in reverse.
Access to properties located within the boundary of the closure will be maintained where possible. The restrictions shall only apply when the appropriate signs and markings are lawfully displayed in the road.
The Order will come into operation on the 6th day of March 2017 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be completed on the 6th and 7th of March 2017 at night, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00.
