BURY COUNCIL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bury Metropolitan BoroughCouncil proposes to make the Orders listed below underthe Road Traffic RegulationAct 1984, as amended.
TheCouncil proposes to implementa regeneration scheme of the mainpart of Prestwich High Street and the general effect of the orders will be to:-
1. revoke and/or consolidate existing traffic regulation orders as appropriate;

and
2. introduce traffic regulation orders to incorporate the following:-Revocation of OneWay Working onWarwick Street;

Prohibition of Driving on Warwick Street,atits junction with Bury NewRoad; No WaitingatAny time,NoLoading at Anytime on Warwick Street -Toprotect
the newly created turning head resulting from theclosure of Warwick Street to traffic;
Bus Stop Clearways (NoStopping 7am- 11pm) Proposed buslay-bylocated on theeastsideofBuryNew Road in thevicinityofthe Longfield Centre anda proposed buslay-bylocated on thewestsideofBuryNew Road in thevicinityofthe closed junction of Warwick Street;
LimitedWaiting on Bury NewRoad - Removalofexisting limitedwaiting and creationoflimitedwaiting within newlay-bys within reconfiguredlayout(Mon-Sat 8am-6pm1 hour No Return within lhour)
Warwick Street - amendment of extentsoflimited waiting to accommodateclosure andnew turning head on Warwick Street (retaining existing restrictionMon-Sat 8am -6pm 2hours No Returnwithin2 hours);
