THE BOROUGH OF BLACKBURN WITH DARWEN (GALLIGREAVES WAY, BLACKBURN) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2017
NOTICE is hereby given that the Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, propose to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to allow works to replace a manhole frame and cover to be carried out. The effect of the Order is to close Galligreaves Way, Blackburn to all vehicular traffic from a point 15 metres from its junction with Roebuck Close, for a distance of 25 metres in a south westerly direction. The diversion route for affected traffic will be; For eastbound traffic: via Galligreaves Way, Wellington Road, Stancliffe Street, Spring Lane, Redlam, Bank Top, Duckworth Street and Galligreaves Way. For westbound traffic: via Galligreaves Way, Duckworth Street, Bank Top, Hancock Street and Galligreaves Way.
The Order will come into force at 9:30am on Friday, 10th March 2017, and shall continue in force for a period of eighteen months or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 3:30pm on the same day.
