THE M6 MOTORWAY (JUNCTIONS 21-21A NORTHBOUND AND SOUTHBOUND CARRIAGEWAYS AND SLIP AND LINK ROADS) AND M62 (EASTBOUND AND WESTBOUND JUNCTION 10 LINK ROADS) [TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (Company No. 09346363) has made an Order on the M6 and M62 Motorways in the Borough of Warrington in the County of Cheshire to enable cycle improvement works on the A574 over bridge and other general maintenance works to be carried out in safety. The Order will ban all traffic from the following sections of the M6 Motorway:
i. the northbound carriageway from the last point where the junction 21 exit slip road leaves the carriageway, to the first point where the junction 21A link road from the M62 eastbound and westbound carriageways joins the main carriageway;

ii. the southbound carriageway from the last point where the junction 21A link road to the eastbound M62 leaves the carriageway, to the first point where the junction 21 entry slip road joins the main carriageway;

iii. the northbound entry slip road at junction 21;

iv. the northbound link road at junction 21A leading to the M62 westbound carriageway;

v. the northbound link road at junction 21A leading to the M62 eastbound carriageway;

vi. the southbound link road at junction 21A leading to the M62 westbound carriageway;

vii. the southbound exit slip road at junction 21;

viii. the M62 eastbound link road at junction 10, leading to the M6 southbound carriageway;

ix. the M62 westbound link road at junction 10, leading to the M6 southbound carriageway.

The prohibitions i and iii-v are expected to take place overnight during a five night period between 2300 hours and 0500 hours (continuing to 0700 hours on Saturday and Sunday mornings) during a period starting on Friday 17 February 2017 and ending on Monday 27 March 2017. However, works may start and continue between the same times on subsequent nights until completed. The prohibitions ii and vi-ix are expected to take place overnight during a ten night period between 2300 hours and 0500 hours (continuing to 0700 hours on Saturday and Sunday mornings) during a period starting on Friday 17 February 2017 and ending on Monday 27 March 2017. However, works may start and continue between the same times on subsequent nights until completed. Diversion routes via alternative junctions of the M6 and M62 Motorway and local roads will be well signed.
The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will be indicated by traffic signs, and will not apply to emergency services, works, winter maintenance, or traffic officer vehicles.
