ANNOUNCEMENT OF INTENTION NOT TO PREPARE AN ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT (Regulation 5 of
the Environmental Impact Assessment (Land Drainage Improvement Works) Regulations 1999 as amended by SI 2005/1399 and SI 2006/618
Crabb Mill Gauging Station
The Environment Agency gives notice that it proposes to carry out improvement works to the flood defences at Crabb Mill Gauging Station, Woodbridge Brook in Lea, Malmesbury, SN16 9NF (NGR ST9488086573). The proposed improvement works will involve the following: Undertake improvement to revetment systems, flow measuring techniques and fish and eel passage - Design and build protection for the upstream and downstream extents of mortared stone revetment. Install fish pass pre barrage within downstream wing walls and eel pass easements. The Environment Agency considers that the improvement works are not likely to have significant effects on the environment and does not intend to prepare an environmental statement in respect of them. The works information is available for review by appointment with the project manager at the address below.
Any person wishing to make representations in relation to the likely environmental effects of the proposed improvement works should do so, in writing, to the address specified below, within 28 days of the date of publication of this notice.
