The Oxfordshire County Council Harwell Bridleway No. 12 (Part) Public Path Diversion Order 2016

On 31st January 2017, Oxfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order, made on 9th December 2016, under section S257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 ('The Act') and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting 531m of Harwell Bridleway No. 12 (The Driftway) that runs from OS Grid Ref SU 5013 8888 to SU 5009 8892 immediately East of the A34 and which continues north-north-westwards immediately east of the A34 to the B4493 (Didcot Road) at SU 5002 8939 to a line running for 670m from the same point on The Driftway at OS Grid Ref SU 5013 8888, northwards along the eastern boundary of the new development (the Harwell Link Road) to SU 5010 8939, continuing north-north-eastwards to SU 5011 8944 and north-eastwards along the south side of the improved Didcot Road to SU 5014 8946, continuing on the northern side of the road (via a Pegasus signalised crossing) from SU 5008 8947 generally westwards around the new roundabout junction to SU 5003 8944 as shown on the Order map.

The Order came onto force on 3lst January 20l7 but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act l990 within six weeks from the 9th February 2017.
The County Council will consider all correspondence, objections and representations received in response to this consultation. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.
