THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) (LOMAX STREET FOOTBRIDGE (PUBLIC FOOTPATH 1 SJ, RADCLIFFE) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2017 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any members of the public from proceeding along:-
Lomax Street Footbridge (Public Footpath lsj, Radcliffe)
The reason for the proposed order is due to the failure of the bridge superstructure (superstructure removed).
The alternative route will be via Outwood Road, Mill Street, Pilkington Way, Sion Street and Phoenix Way and vice versa.
The proposed Order will come into operation on Thursday 16 February 2017 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 6 months. Dated 09 February 2016 Council Solicitor

The reason for the proposed order is due to the failure of the bridge superstructure (superstructure partially removed).
The alternative route will be via Rectory Lane, Church Street West, Church Street, Stand Lane and Milltown Street and vice versa.
The proposed Order will come into operation on Thursday 16 February 2017 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 6 months (with the possibility of an extension being required). Dated 09 February 2017 Council Solicitor
