THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) (INMAN STREET/WATERLOO COURT, BURY/OGDEN
STREET, PRESTWICH/EST BANK ROAD, RAMSBOTTOM/ROW LANDS ROAD, SUMMERSEAT) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-
1) Inman Street/Waterloo Court, Bury - full length (Manchester Old Road to Waterloo Court flats)

2) Ogden Street, Prestwich - Park Street to Whittaker Lane

3) Est Bank Road, Ramsbottom - Bolton Road West to Est Bank Road (to the side of number 12)

4) Rowlands Road, Summerseat - Crag Lane to Railway Street

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works. The alternative route will be:-
1) Not applicable - cul-de-sac end.

2) Via Park Street, Bury Old Road and Whittaker Lane and vice-versa.

3) Not applicable - no through road.

4) Via Bass Lane, Manchester Road, Bury New Road, Peel Brow, Bridge Street, Bolton Street, Bolton Road West, Longsight Road, Newcombe Road, Peel Hall Road and Railway Street and vice-versa.

The proposed Order will come into operation on Saturday 18 February 2017 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 6 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 0800hrs - 1800hrs during school holidays 18 February to 26 February 2017 and 1 April to 17 April 2017. Lomax Street, Radcliffe - cul-de-sac by Pipe Bridge over the River Irwell.
The reason for the proposed order is to position a crane on the highway (as and when required by the works) to facilitate the renewal of a waste water sewer pipe bridge over the River Irwell. There is no alternative route (cul-de-sac).
The proposed Order will come into operation on Thursday 16 February 2017 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 6 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 3 months. Dated 09 February 2017
