COUNCIL TAX TECHNICAL CHANGE
At its meeting on 3 November 2016 the Council approved the following technical change to the Council Tax with effect from 1 April 2017:
1. That with effect from 1 April 2017 properties which are unoccupied and substantially unfurnished, as defined by Section 11A(4A) of the Local Government Finance Act 1992 and falling within Class C of the (Prescribed Classes of Dwellings) (England) Regulations 2003, receive a discount of 100% for a period of 1 month after which the full Council Tax will apply;
2. That should a dwelling cease to be vacant, no further period of discount, under Class C, will be awarded for a period of 2 months.
