NOTICE OF APPLICATION UNDER THE COMMONS ACT 2006 -SECTION 38
BLACK HILL COMMON Wessex Water has applied to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for consent under section 38 of the Commons Act 2006 to carry out restricted works on Black Hill Common. The Planning Inspectorate will decide the application on behalf of the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. The proposed works will take place outside Black Hill Reservoir (BH20 7LP), Bere Regis. The works involve raising an existing manhole concrete slab (1.7 x 1.5 meters) from ground level to 200 millimeters above ground and installing a spindle actuator, approximately 1.2 meters tall and a replacement manhole cover on top of the slab.
The area will be fenced off (12.25 meters squared) for security during construction, which will take 1 week to complete. The fencing may be required for an additional week to allow the concrete to cure.
Acopyofthe applicationform and accompanying documents can be inspected at Bere Regis Post Office, 85 West St, Bere Regis, Wareham BH20 7HL during normal office hours until Friday 3rd March.
