ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984-SECTION 14 THE A66 TRUNK ROAD (SCOTCH CORNER ROUNDABOUT TO NORTH STAINMORE JUNCTION) (TEMPORARY 50 MILES PER HOUR, 40 MILES PER HOUR AND 10 MILES PER HOUR SPEED RESTRICTION) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the A66 Trunk Road, in the Counties of Durham and North Yorkshire, to enable traffic sign replacement, tree removal, barrier re-tensioning, gully cleaning and retexturing of carriageway surface works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start at 8pm on Monday 6 February 2017 for 6 weeks or until completed.
The effect of the Order will be to impose, a temporary 50mph, 40mph and at times a 10mph speed restriction on the A66 eastbound and westbound carriageways from Scotch Corner Roundabout to 9,975 metres west of Bowes Interchange, a distance of 34,850 metres. The 10mph limit will only apply when, for safety reasons, traffic has to be escorted through the works by a highway maintenance vehicle.
When required, traffic management will be in operation 24 hours a day and traffic signs will indicate the extent of the restrictions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or special forces vehicles). Access will be maintained at all times to premises and properties, which are accessible from, and only from, the A66. The Order comes in to force on the 5 February 2017 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
THE A66 TRUNK ROAD (BLACKWELL ROUNDABOUT TO TEESSIDE PARK INTERCHANGE) (TEMPORARY 50 MILES PER HOUR, 40 MILES PER HOUR AND 10 MILES PER HOUR SPEED RESTRICTION) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the A66 Trunk Road, in the Districts of Darlington and Stockton on Tees, to enable traffic sign replacement, tree removal, barrier re-tensioning, gully cleaning and retexturing of carriageway surface works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start at 8pm on Monday 6 February 2017 for 6 weeks or until completed.

The 10mph limit will only apply when, for safety reasons, traffic has to be escorted through the works by a highway maintenance vehicle.

THE A66 TRUNK ROAD
(BLANDS CORNER ROUNDABOUT TO LITTLE BURDON ROUNDABOUT) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION AND PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the A66 Trunk Road, in the District of Darlington, to enable carriageway resurfacing, lining, and routine maintenance works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start on Tuesday 28 February 2017 for 10 days or until completed.
The effect of the Order will be, between 8pm and 6am at times during the works, to:
(i) close the A66 Neasham Road Roundabout and Morton Palms Roundabout; and
(ii) impose a 40mph speed restriction on the A66 carriageway from 1100 metres west of Neasham Road Roundabout to 1100 metres east of Morton Palms Roundabout.
During the closures, suitably signed alternative routes will be available at all times.
It will also be necessary, for 24 hours a day, for the duration of the works, to close the laybys situated adjacent to, the A66:
(i) eastbound carriageway approximately 1300 metres west of Neasham Road Roundabout;
(ii) eastbound carriageway approximately 1200 metres east of Neasham Road Roundabout;
(iii) westbound carriageway approximately 1100 metres east of Neasham Road Roundabout; and
(iv) eastbound carriageway approximately 1000 metres east of Morton Palms Roundabout.
Traffic management will be in force 24 hours a day and traffic signs will indicate the extent of the restrictions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or special forces vehicles) and prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes). The Order comes into force on 27 February 2017 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
