Temporary Traffic Management Order, Town Hall Lane, Swanage
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along TOWN HALL LANE, SWANAGE from its junction with High Street northwards for approximately 30 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It came into operation on Monday 30 January 2017 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Sunday 02 April 2017. The road closure will allow scaffolding to be erected around the Town Hall. That part of Town Hall Lane not closed will become two-wayfor access reasons. Pedestrian access will be available past the scaffolding.
This order will enable Ian Williams Ltd to repair and decorate the external facades of Swanage Town Hall.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using High Street, Court Hill, Kings Road West, Station Road, Institute Road and Kings Road East.

The County of Dorset (Various Roads in the District of Purbeck) (Consolidation of Orders Made for the Regulation of Traffic) Order 2014, (Amendment Order No 1, 2017) C8, Durdle Door, West Lulworth -Prohibition of Waiting
Dorset County Council has made an Order under Sections 1(1) and (2), 2(1) to (3) and 3(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of Part IV of Schedule 1 of the Act and of Regulation 21 of Part IV of The Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with statutory requirement and in compliance with the 1996 Regulations.
When the Order comes into operation on 3 February 2017 the effect will be to introduce a length of 'no waiting at any time' on the C8 near Durdle Door Park. A copy of the Order together with a plan showing the length of road affected and a statement of reasons for making the Order may be inspected from Monday to Friday during normal office hours at:-
