THE A49 TRUNK ROAD (HOLMER TO HOPE-UNDER-DINMORE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (Company No. 9346363) has made an Order on the A49 Trunk Road, near Wellington in the District of the County of Herefordshire to allow lighting renewal works to be carried out. The effect of the Order will be to-
1) close the A49 between its roundabout junction with the A4103, at Holmer, and its junction with the A417, at Hope-under-Dinmore;
2) close the bus stop area adjacent to the southbound carriageway of the A49, opposite the unnamed road leading to Wellington; and
3) prohibit vehicles from entering or leaving the length of the A49 described in 1) above, at its junction with any side road.
The work will be carried out overnight between 20.00 hours and 06.00 hours and is expected to start on Monday 13 February 2017 and continue for approximately eleven nights. The Order will come into force on 6 February 2017. Any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes and any vehicle being used in connection with the works or for winter maintenance purposes will be exempt from the closures and prohibition.
