CITY OF YORK COUNCIL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) and 15(8) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 26th day of January 2017 continuing in force the restrictions in respect of the location numbered (1) and on the said date in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Act made an Order in respect of each of the locations numbered (2), (3), (4). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of the location numbered (5).

(1) A19 & FORDLANDS ROAD, YORK This Order continues in force The York (A19 & Fordlands Road) (Temporary Traffic Restrictions) Order 2016 (original Order) that Order having an expiry date on 30th January 2017. This is necessary to ensure that carriageway construction works being undertaken thereon can continue to be carried out safely. The effect of the Order is to continue in force the prohibition on pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in the footway on (i) A19 (Main Street, Fulford/Selby Road, York) York, between its junction with Fordlands Road and the north eastern property boundary line of Stonebridge House and (ii) Fordlands Road, York, between the projected northern property boundary line of No. 151 Main Street, Fulford and a point 120 metres south of the said line (closed footpaths) during the period commencing at 0001 hours on the 31st day of January 2017 and ending at2400hrs on the 30th dayofJune 2017 (works period) or atthe end ofthe works period whichever is the earlier. During the works period an alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be signed. It is envisaged that the restriction will only be put into effect on the eastern footpath of the A19 during the works period.

(2) PAVER LANE, YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Paver Lane, York (closed road) during the period when sewer works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 0800hrs on the 30th day of January 2017 and ending at 2400hrs on the 3rd day of February 2017 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.

(3) BISHOPHILL JUNIOR & LOWER PRIORY STREET, YORK

This Order prohibits pedestrian and vehicles from proceeding in the footway on the (i) south eastern side of Bishophill Junior, York between its junction with Lower Priory Street and the projected western property boundary of Prospect House, (ii) the north eastern side of Lower Priory Street between its junction with Bishophill Junior and a point 30 metres north west of Fairfax Street and (iii) the footpath linking Lower Priory Street and Prospect Terrace (closed footpath) during the period when nearby development works being undertaken adjacent to the closed footpath that period commencing at 0001hrs on the 30th day of January 2017 and ending at 2400hrs on the 31st day of January 2018 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely Additionally, the resident parking bays on the:

? south east side of Bishophill Junior between points 17 metres and 27 metres south east of Prospect Terrace,



? north east side of Lower Priory Street between points 19 metres and 29 metres north west form the north western kerbline of the closure position,



? south west side of Lower Priory Street from the north western kerbline of the closure position north west for 25 metres,



will be suspended during the works period. It is envisaged that the footpath linking Lower Priory Street and Prospect Terrace will only be closed for 2 days during the works period. An alternative route for diverted pedestrian and traffic will be available during the works period.

(4) MICKLEGATE, YORK



This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Micklegate, York between its junctions with George Hudson Street and St Martin's Lane (closed road) during the period when traffic signal improvement works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 0001hrs on the 30th day of January 2017 and ending at 2400hrs on the 3rd day ofMarch 2017 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.

(5) USHER LANE, HAXBY



This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in the north bound traffic lane of Usher Lane, Haxby between its junction with Station Road and Oaken Grove, Haxby (closed traffic lane) during the period commencing at 0001hrs on the 13th day of February 2017 and ending at 2400hrs on the 5th dayof March 2017 (works period) or at a time when water works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

The above temporary Order will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/ restrictions.
