(KNITSLEY GARDENS, TEMPLETOWN, CONSETT) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2017

The Council proposes in not less than 7 days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, to close to all vehicular traffic a 90m length of Knitsley Gardens (nos. 1-29) that extends westwards from its junction with Knitsley Lane, Templetown by reason of electricity supply renewal works to be undertaken. The maximum duration of the temporary closure under the Order is 18 months and is required from 13/02/17 for 4 weeks. However, on rare occasions, alternative dates for closures may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly. Alternative route: via Knitsley Lane and Temple Gardens.

(VARIOUS STREETS BOWBURN) (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2017

The Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 81, 82, 83 & 84 of the Road Traffic RegulationAct1984, as amended, theeffectofwhichis tointroduce a20mphspeedlimit restriction on the entire lengths of the following roads (including side streets and back lanes): Albert Ct, Barrington Way, Beaumont Cl, Bow St, Burn St, Carey Cl, Castle Ave, Charlton Ct, Jones Ct, Lawson Rd, Monteigene Dr, Newburn Ave. Norton Ave, Romaine Sq, Runcie Rd, St Johns Cres, Surtees Ave, The Leases, Tunstall Ave, Tweddle Terr and Wolsey Cl. AND part lengths ofthefollowing roads: BedeTerrfrom2meast ofjunctionwithA177DurhamRdeasterly then northerly direction to 9 mts south of junction with Prince Charles Ave, William St from 5 mts south of junction with Prince Charles Ave southerly for its entire length, Edward Ave from 14 mts south of junction with Prince Charles Ave southerly for its entire length and un-named road linking A177 Durham Rd and Runcie Rd from 8 mts east of junction with A177 Durham Road easterly for its entire length. A copy of the draft Order & supporting documents may be inspected at Bowburn Library and County Hall, Durham during normal opening hours and via the council website.
