Notice of Making
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director of Infrastructure, Places Directorate of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to him by the said Council has made The Wigan Borough (Footpath No 31, Aspull (Part)) [Temporary Closure) Order 2017. The Order came into operation on 18th January 2017 for a period of 6 months.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person from using Public Footpath No 31, Aspull (Part) from Point A on the Order map, 165 metres south of the footbridge over Borsdane Brook east of Bank Top Farm for a distance of 110 metres to Point B on the Order Map for a period of 6 months commencing on 21st October 2015.
Please note there is no alternative route available.
The Order is necessary to allow further investigations and repair works to be
carried out to the footpath.
A copy of the Order Map may be inspected at the Town Hall, Library Street, Wigan between 9am and 4.30pm. Monday to Friday.
Lord Street, Tyldesley - Prohibition of Waiting Notice of Making
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wigan Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made the Wigan Borough (Decriminalisation of Parking) (Various Roads in Wigan Borough) (Traffic Regulation Consolidation) Order 2004 (Amendment No.400) Order 2016 which will come into operation on 17th February 2017.
The effect of the Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time on:-

A point 16 metres north west of its junction with Lord Street

A copy of the Order and of the relevant map may be inspected at the Town Hall, Library Street, Wigan, between 9am and 4.30pm on any day from Monday to Friday and at Tyldesley Library on its usual days and times of opening. Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained therein on the ground -
(a) that it is not within the powers of Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984; or the Traffic Management Act 2004 or
(b) that any requirement of the said Section 1, or of Part III of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or of any regulations made under the said Part III of Schedule 9 or of any requirement of the 2004 Act, has not been complied with, may within six weeks of 19th January 2017 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
