DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has made an Orderunder Sectionl4[l] of theRoadTrafficRegulations Actl984, as amended.The orderisneeded in order to comply with Healthand Safety Regulations,which requirethe provision of safe working areasand to minimisethe likelihood of danger to HighwayUsers. Theorder will come intooperation on the23rdJanuary 20l7 at 00:0 lhrs andwill remain in forcefor l8 months.However it is anticipated that theworks will be completed by llth February 2017. Theorder is to create asafer working area forDorsetCounty Council,inpartnershipwithBournemouth BoroughCouncil,whilst they carryout remedial worksinrelationtothe A338 re construction, and investigatory worksinrelation to theBlackwater junction improvement scheme. Theeffectofthe order is as follows;
[l] To imposea temporary 40mph speed limitupon A338,SPURROAD, on both carriageways,from approximately 350 metres northofthe on andoff slip to theBlackwater junction,toapproximately l30metres southofthe on andoff slip to theCooperDeanroundabout,adistanceofapproximately
3l46metres.
[2]Toimposeatemporary 40mph speed limitupon the B3073, Christchurch,onbothcarriageways from approximately 350 metres northwest,ofthe Blackwater West junction to approximately the existing30mph speed limit,commencing on theSouth East Carriageway of theB3073, approximately 550 metresEast of theBlackwater East junction,adistanceofapproximately l250 metres. [3]Toimposeatemporary 40mph speed limitupon, on bothEast andWest junctions of theOnand OffSliproads between A338,and theB3073, atotal distance of approximately 650 metres.
