(HUMBER HILL, STANLEY) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2017
The Council, on 13/01/17 made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, to close to all vehicular traffic a 320m length of Humber Hill between its junctions with A693 Front Street and Sitwell Road, Stanley to enable emergency carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken. The maximum duration of the temporary closure under the Order is 18 months and is required from 14/01/17 and for the duration of the works, anticipated to be 3 days. However, on rare occasions, alternative dates for closures may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly. Alternative route: from the north eastern side of the closure from A693 westerly to A6076 roundabout and continuing south westerly on A693 to Wear Road roundabout then south easterly on .
B6532 Wear Road to the junction with Humber Hill to the south western side of the closure, and vice versa.
