(C93 WITTON PARK BRIDGE)
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2017
The Council, on 18/01/17 made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, to close a 1.3km length of C93 Witton Park Bridge road that extends southwards between its junctions with the access to Low Wadsworth Farm/Sewage Works and Witton Park to enable Phase 1) netting to be applied to the bridge structure (closed to all vehicular traffic); and Phase 2) maintenance works to be undertaken (closed to all traffic). The maximum duration of the temporary closure under the Order is 18 months and is required from 23/01/17 and for the duration of the works anticipated to be 2 weeks (Phase 1) followed by a further period of around 16 weeks (Phase 2) which will be signed on site when required. However, on rare occasions, alternative dates for closures may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
Alternative route: from the southern side of the closure from Witton Park south westerly on Park Road then westerly on Sloshes Lane, north on A68 then easterly on C18a to Wittonle Wear and continuing eastwards on Low Lane to the junction with C93 (signposted to Witton Park) to the northern side of the closure, and vice versa.
