Lowering the age range of Chiseldon Primary School

Notice is given in accordance with section 19(1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 that Swindon Borough Council intends to make a prescribed alteration to Chiseldon Primary School, Castle View Road, Chiseldon, Swindon, Wiltshire, SN4 0NS from 01 September 2017.

The Local Authority is proposing to lower the age range of Chiseldon Primary School to include 2, 3 and 4 year olds. The age range has been temporarily lowered since September 2016 from the former 4-11 status to include early years aged pupils, thereby enabling the school to offer educational provision for the full 2-11 primary age range.

The current capacity at Chiseldon Primary School is for 220 pupils with an additional capacity for 52 early years aged children under the temporary agreement to lower the age range. The school has intentions to increase capacity of its early year's provision in the future.
