'SCHOOL KEEP CLEAR', BUS LANE AND MINOR PARKING AMENDMENTS - VARIOUS LOCATIONS (TMO-P243)
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames propose to make the following Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended: -

? The Kingston upon Thames (Parking Places) (Canbury)
(Amendment No. *) Traffic Order 20**;
? The Kingston upon Thames (Prohibition of Stopping Outside
Schools) (Amendment No. *) Traffic Order 20**;
? The Kingston upon Thames (Bus Priority) (Amendment No. *)
Traffic Order 20**;
? The Kingston upon Thames (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. *) Traffic Order 20**.
2. The general effect of the Orders would be;
(a) in Alexandra Road, Kingston (opposite Nos. 17-21), to introduce a length of "School Keep Clear" restriction (to apply between 8am & 4.30pm on Mondays to Fridays except during August) in place of an existing 'shared use' parking place;
(b) to shorten an existing bus lane in Kingston Road, New Malden
(adjacent to its junction with Dickerage Lane);
(c) to introduce a disabled persons' parking place in Holmwood
Road, Chessington (outside No. 19). (Vehicles displaying a valid disabled persons' badge may wait in the above parking
place without charge or time limit);
(d) in Burton Road, Kingston (at the side of No. 90a Kings Road), to shorten an existing 'shared use' parking place (to be replaced
by a single yellow line waiting restriction) in order to allow
access to an off-street parking area;
(e) in Craven Road, Kingston (at the rear of No. 50 Canbury
Avenue), to merge existing 'shared use' parking places (in place of a single yellow line waiting restriction); and
(f) to introduce additional "at any time" double yellow line waiting
restrictions at the junction between Devon Way & Newlands Way, Chessington.
3. The proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed
particulars of the proposals, including plans showing the location and
effect, are available for inspection until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders at:
? The Information and Advice Centre, Guildhall 2, Kingston upon
Thames, KT1 1EU between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to
Fridays inclusive;
? Hook & Chessington Library, The Hook Centre, Hook Road, Chessington during normal opening hours;
? Kingston Library, Fairfield Road, Kingston, during normal opening
hours; and
? New Malden Library, Sandal Road, New Malden, during normal opening hours; and
? Tudor Library, Tudor Drive, Kingston during normal opening hours.
