Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the C1135 from C1136 to Snails Bank, Bishops Frome Temporary Closure Order 2016 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles from the firlands to Mayfields Farm OS Grid Ref: 367237/249400 to 367247/248245. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via C1135 onto the A4103 onto the U65616 Hook Lane onto the B4220 onto the C1138 onto the U65613 Acton Road or alternatively via the U65611 onto the B4214 onto Kingstone Lane onto the U65607 and vice versa. The said closure is required due to the installation of new water mains and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 10th February 2017 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 6 weeks.
