DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has madeanOrder under Section14[1] of the Road Traffic Regulation Act1984, as amended.All vehicles will be prohibited from proceedingalong Policeman'sLanebetween itsjunctions with theB3067,Dorchester Road andWateryLane, adistance of approximately 320 metres. Theorder is needed in order to comply withHealthand Safety Regulations,which requirethe provision of safe working areasand to minimisethe likelihood of danger to HighwayUsers. It will come intooperation on Monday 09 January20l7and will remain in forcefor 18 months. Howeveritisanticipated that theworks will be completed by Sunday 29January20l7.
This order willenable Mackoy Limited to installalarge culvertinthe highway.
Alternativevehicular routes will be signedusing WateryLane, SeaViewRoadand the B3067, Dorchester Road.Access will be maintainedfor allresidents of Policemans Lane andPoppyClose from onesideofthe closureorthe otherasindicated by the traffic signsonsite.

DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than sevendaysfromthe date of this notice,tomakeanOrder underSection I4[l] of theRoadTrafficRegulations ActI984, as amended.The order is needed in ordertocomply with Health and Safety Regulations,which requirethe provision of safe working areasand to minimise thelikelihoodofdangertoHighway Users. Theorderwill come into operation on the23rdJanuary 20l7 at 00:0 lhrs andwill remain in forcefor l8 months. However it is anticipated that theworks will be completed by thel lthFebruary 20l7. The orderistocreateasafer working area forDorsetCountyCouncilwhilst they carryout remedialworks in relation to theA338 reconstruction, andinvestigatory worksinrelation to theBlackwater junction improvement scheme. Theeffectofthe order is as follows;
[l] To impose atemporary40mph speed limit upon A338,SPURROAD, on both carriageways, from approximately 350 metresnorth of theonand offsliptothe Blackwater junction,toapproximately l30metressouth of theonand off slip to theCooperDeanroundabout,adistanceofapproximately 3l46 metres. [2]Toimposeatemporary40mph speed limitupon theB3073, Christchurch, on both carriageways from approximately 350 metres northwest,ofthe Blackwater West junction to approximatelythe existing30mph speed limit,commencing on theSouth East Carriageway of theB3073, approximately 550 metresEast of theBlackwater East junction,adistance of approximately l250 metres. [3]Toimposeatemporary 40mph speed limitupon, on bothEast andWest junctions of theOnand OffSliproads between A338,and theB3073, atotal distance of approximately 650 metres.
