A167 NORTH ROAD/HIGH NORTHGATE, DARLINGTON

(ROAD CLOSURE), ORDER 2017

Darlington Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to close:

A167 NORTH ROAD/HIGH NORTHGATE

From the south side of the junction with Albert Road southwards to the northern boundary of 136 High Northgate

An alternative route will be signed via Salters Lane North, Whinfield Road, Stockton Road, Haughton Green, Haughton Road, Freeman's Place, St Cuthbert's Way, Northgate and vice versa.

The Order is necessary to allow works to the rail bridge.

The maximum duration of the temporary closure under this Order is 18 months commencing from 22nd January 2017, it is anticipated that the closure will be effective between 2200hours and 0600hours for 3 days commencing 22nd January2017.
