CITY OF YORK COUNCIL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) and 15(8) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 22nd day of December 2016 continuing in force the restrictions in respect of the location numbered (1) and on the said date in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Act made an Order in respect of the location numbered (2).

(1) POTTERY LANE, YORK This Order continues in force The York (Pottery Lane) (Temporary Traffic Restriction) Order

2016 (original Order) that Order having an expiry date on 23rd December 2016. This is necessary to ensure that sewer works being undertaken thereon can continue to be carried out safely. The effect of the Order is to continue in force the prohibition on vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of Pottery Lane, York between its junctions with Dodsworth Avenue and Saxon Place (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001 hours on the 24th day of December 2016 and ending at 2400hrs on the 3rd day of February



2017 or at the end of the works period whichever is the earlier. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.



(2) FIELD LANE/KIMBERLOW LANE This Order prohibits pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in that length of footway on the east side of (i) Field Lane, York between its roundabout controlled junction with Kimberlow Lane and a point 50 metres north of the said junction and (ii) Kimberlow Lane, York (closed footpath) during the period when nearbyconstruction works being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 0001hrs on the 24th day of December 2016 and ending at 2400hrs on the 3rd day of February 2017 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period. This Order continues the temporary road closure Notice which had an end date of 2400hrs on the 23rd day of December 2016.

The above temporary Order will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/ restrictions.
