MANCHESTER RD TEMPORARY CLOSURE
THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF BOLTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTIONS 14(1) AND 16(1) THE BOLTON (MANCHESTER ROAD & ROWENA STREET, BOLTON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURES, TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY TRAFFIC) (NO.14) ORDER 2017
The Borough Council of Bolton intends to make an Order, the effect of which, being operative from 9 January 2017, will be to prohibit all vehicular traffic from entering, stopping, standing, waiting, loading, unloading or otherwise remaining at rest in Manchester Road, southbound slip from Green Lane to Loxham Street. This will also incorporate the closures of the St. Peters Way northbound on-slip at Manchester Rd, the closure of St. Peters Way southbound off-slip at Manchester Rd, the closure of Rowena St at its junction with Manchester Rd, the closure of the Manchester Road north and south link roads and the temporary suspension of one-way only traffic on Manchester Road northbound carriageway between Loxham St and Green Lane (which will become a contra-flow route for the duration of the closures). Alternative routes will be: Manchester Rd southbound - via Manchester Rd southbound contra-flow, Loxham St, Bolton Rd, Market St, Higher Market St, Kearsley roundabout. Manchester Road northbound - via Manchester Rd northbound contra-flow, Manchester Rd, Raikes Lane. Rowena St – via Ivanhoe St. The closures will take place overnight, from 7pm – 6am daily to 22 January 2017. The closure is necessary due to resurfacing and will cease to have effect 18 months from its operative date or on completion of the works whichever first occurs. Dated this 23 December 2016 S.
