Herefordshire Council Notice of Making
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, under its relevant powers, have made the C1072 Duke Street, Kington, Temporary Closure Order 2016 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the following road: C1072 Duke Street from the junction with the U91232 Love Lane to the junction with the U91224 Oxford Lane OS Grid Ref: 329890 / 256728. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the C1072 Bridge Street onto Headbrook onto the A44 onto the C1072 Victoria Road and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to accessing an underground structure to provide cabling for a new customer connection and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 8th January 2017 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 2 days.
