Herefordshire Council Notice of Making
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, under its relevant powers, have made the B4230 from Garnstone Castle Road to A480, Norton Canon, Temporary Closure Order 2016 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the following road: B4230 from Garnstone Castle Road to A480 from the junction with A480 to the junction with Garnstone Castle Road OS Grid Ref: 338897 / 249238. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A480 onto the A4112 onto the B4230 Kington Road/Back Lane and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to accessing an underground structure to provide cabling for a new customer connection and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 4th January 2017 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 2 days.
