Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the B4359 Widemarsh Street, Hereford Temporary Closure Order 2016 to
temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the following road : B4359 Widemarsh Street from the junction with Newtown Road to the junction with Coning by Street OS Grid Ref: 351101 / 240772 to 351087 / 240387. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via A438 Newmarket Street onto A49 Edgar Street onto the B4359 Newtown Road and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to kerbing and resurfacing and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 9th January 2017 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 8 weeks.
