Notification of Highway Works
As part of the approved Woodhurst Park development, Berkeley Homes will be implementing a number of significant highway improvements which include a new link from Quelm Park Roundabout to Forest Road and the signalisation of the Three Legged Cross junction.
To enable us to implement the works on Forest Road, we have agreed with the Highway Authority to temporarily close Forest Road between West End Lane and the Three Legged Cross junction from 9th January 2017 until 13th April 2017. The closure of Forest Road will enable us to realign the existing carriageway and construct a new roundabout, as well as install infrastructure for the signalisation of the Three Legged Cross junction. We intend to re-open Forest Road on the 13th April and then implement the signalisation of the Three Legged Cross junction under temporary traffic management between April and July 2017.
Whilst the Forest Road closure is in place, a diversion route will be in place for motorists which will utilise Binfield Road/Harvest Ride as an alternative route. A temporary pedestrian footpath will be provided
within the Woodhurst Park development, so that pedestrians will have access along this stretch of Forest Road throughout the closure. Appropriate signage will be setup for both diversions for the duration of the closure.
We would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused during these works, we appreciate in the short term there will be disruption, however once completed the new roundabout junction and link road will provide a key link between Forest Road and Harvest Ride.
