Temporary Closure of  Maiden Castle Road, Dorchester
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less thanseven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1]of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended.All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Maiden Castle Road, Dorchester from itsjunction with Clarence Road to outside Prince of Wales School, adistance of approximately 740 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users.
It will come into operation on 15th December 2016 and will remain in force for 18 months
However it is anticipated that theworks will be completed by 23rd December 2016.
Please note that the working hours vary; 15th & 16th December between the hours of 09:30 and 14:30 and from 19th December until the 21st December between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 daily.
The road will be open outside of these times and also over the weekend. Please note that the dates are a window of opportunity and the road may not be closed forthe whole duration stated above.The closure is also weather dependant. Even though the dates above coincide only one road will be closed at anyone time.But it will remain in force for 18 months and canbeextended with theapprovalofthe Secretary of  State for Transport if necessary. This order will enable Dorset County Council to carryout carriageway maintenance. A locally signed diversion route will be putinplace to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections. Temporary Closure of Unnamed Road, Tadnolland Tans Lane,Winfrith
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less thanseven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1]ofthe Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended.
All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding alongthe unnamed road,Tadnolland Tans Lane,Winfrith, for a combined distance of approximately 1 kilometre. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations,which requirethe provision of safe working areasand to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on Monday 02 January 2017 until Sunday 24 February 2017.The works will be completed in twophases, andthe current road closure will be indicated by traffic signs on site.
This order will enable Renewable Energy Connections Limited safeaccess to install underground high voltage electricity cables for multiple solar park grid connections.
Alternativevehicularroutes will be signed using the unnamed road at Tadnoll, Tans Lane,Gatemore Road
andthe A352.

Temporary Closure of Weymouth Bay Avenue,Weymouth
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not lessthanseven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1]of the Road Traffic Regulations Act1984, as amended.All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along WEYMOUTH BAY AVENUE,WEYMOUTHfromthe junction with Dorchester Road,to approximately outsideno1 ,WeymouthBay Avenue,Weymouth,adistanceofapproximately 30 metres. Theorder is needed in order to comply with Healthand Safety Regulations,which requirethe provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to HighwayUsers. It will come into operationon3rd Januar y2017and will remain in forcefor 18 months.
However it is anticipated that theworks will be completed by 29th January 2017 This order will enableWessex Water,safe access replac ethe existingwater main.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using - Dorchester Road - Grove Avenue - Cleveland Avenue -Weymouth BayAvenue.

Temporary Traffic Management Order, Lower St Alban Street & St Nicholas Street,Weymouth
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less thans even days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under Section 14 [l]ofthe Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the RoadTraffic[Temporary Restrictions ]Act 1991.The Order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations,which require the provision of safeworking areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users.The notice will commence on the 03rd January 2017 for 32 days with anend date of the 03rd February 20I7.
But it will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended,with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport,if necessary. The order is to allow Wessex Water safe access to replace the water main.
The effect of thenotice is as follows;
[I] To prohibit all vehicles from proceeding along Lower St Alban Street,Weymouth from the junction with Commercial
Road,to the junction with St Thomas Street. This will be implemented in two phases,to allow business and resident access.
[2]To revoke the existing oneway order on St Nicholas Street,Weymouth from the junction with Lower St Alban Street to the junction with Commercial Road,Weymouth.
[3]To temporarily impose a two way traffic order on St Nicholas Street,Weymouth from the junction with Lower St AlbanStreettothe junction with Commercial Road,Weymouth.

DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section I4 [I]of the RoadTraffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along part of footpath 24,Chickerell from grid references SY6528 80I5 to SY65I9 8048, part of footpath 25, Chickerell from grid reference SY65II8046 toSY65I7 8044 and all of footpath 26 Chickerell from grid reference
SY 6488 804I to SY 6497 8052.The order is needed in order to comply with Healthand Safety Regulations,which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users.
It will come into operationon 1 January 2017 for a period of 26 weeks. Butitmay be extended,with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport,if necessary.

Lanedevelopments.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:
Fromthe southern endofthe closure(SY 6528 80I5) travel north westerly through thenew developmentfor 300m,taking Grey's Road and Oldridge Road to the junction with Putton Lane(SY 6506 8022),then continue north westerly along Putton Lanefor I90m to itsjunction with GlennieWay (SY6490 8030).Turn north for 230m along Putton Lane towards the playing field (SY 6484 8052) and then turn east along Lower Putton Lane for 385m to the northern end of the closure (SY 65I9 8048).
