Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the C1171 The Burtons, Wellington Heath Temporary Closure Order 2016 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles outside Uplands Cottage OS Grid Ref: 370354 / 240328. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the B4214 Bromyard Road onto the C1172 Beggards Ash/ Ledbury Road onto the C1157 Church Lane and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to the renewal of water meter service and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 5th January 2017 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 3 days.
