CHRISTCHURCH BOROUGH COUNCIL AND EAST DORSET DISTRICT COUNCIL Notice is hereby given that the following applications have been received by Christchurch Borough Council and East Dorset District Council:
3/16/0002/FUL Land Adjacent To Julians Road, Cowgrove Road And The River Stour
Construction of 210 dwellings; office; cafe and basement parking; new access to Julians Road, vehicular connections to Cuthbury Gardens, Old Road and Victoria Place; demolition of 20 dwellings at Cuthbury Close; associated open space, landscape, roads and footways, footpath diversion, ground and remediation works , infrastructure and highways works; and change of use of agricultural land to Suitable Alternative Natural Green space (SANG), all as part of the development provided for under Policy WMC5 of Christchurch and East Dorset Local Plan Part 1 – Core Strategy (2014). Net increase of 190 dwellings.
AS AMENDED BY PLANS RECEIVED 11/11/16.Amendments include reduction in the number of dwellings from 210 to 203; phased redevelopment; reduction in scale of the larger riverfront buildings, buildings adjacent to Victoria Place (Plots 77-88 & 65-75) and buildings fronting Julian’s Rd; revised first floor fenestration to dwellings at Plots 139-142 and 134-136 (As summarised in the Amendment Summary Site Plan).This proposal affects the setting of a Listed Building and affects the setting of a Conservation Area and affects a Definitive Right of Way and constitutes Major Development.
3/16/2563/FUL National Trust,Access To Kingston Lacy House From Blandford Road, Kingston Lacy, Dorset, BH21 4EA The National Trust propose to build a polytunnel within the existing Gardener’s Compound at Kingston Lacy Gardens.The polytunnel is for the purpose of a quarantine unit for incoming plants to the garden which is part of the Grade II listed park and gardens. A concrete base will be laid with a metal framed polytunnel affixed to the base, the polytunnel will be removable in the future. The proposed polytunnel will not be visible from the House or Gardens.The proposal will not alter, extend or demolish the Grade 1 Listed Kingston Lacy House but the Gardener’s Compound does lie within the curtilage of the building.
