M27, M271 AND M275 MOTORWAYS TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an order on the M27, M271 and M275 Motorways in the County of Hampshire, and the Unitary Authorities of the City of Portsmouth and the City of Southampton, under section14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road.
The effect of the Order would be to authorise the following:
(a) to impose an overnight temporary mandatory 50mph speed restriction
(b) to authorise the phased overnight closures of; and
(c) to authorise hard shoulder running on;
lengths of both carriageways of the M27, M271 and M275 motorways and the slip/link roads leading to and from those motorways.
These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake a 12 month programme of planned cyclical maintenance.

The duration of each closure or restriction would vary depending on the nature of the maintenance work being undertaken on each occasion. The programme of works would start on or after 1 January 2017. The closures and restrictions would be in operation overnight between 21:00 and 06:00 (maximum period).
Access to and from premises accessible from, and only from, the lengths of carriageway to be closed would be permitted. The Order would come into force from the 1 January 2017 and have a maximum duration of twelve months. During closures above, traffic affected would be diverted via other junctions of the M27, M271, M275, or by using the A27, A3, A3024, A3057, A3090, A31, A33, A334, A335, A336, A35, A36 or the M3. They would vary depending on the closure in place and would be clearly signed.
The temporary mandatory speed restrictions, slip road, link road and carriageway closures and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works periods.

A3 HORDEAN INTERCHANGE - JUNCTION 5
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an order on the A3M Motorway in the County of Hampshire, under section14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road.
The effect of the Order would be to authorise the following:
(a) to impose an overnight temporary mandatory 50mph speed restriction on lengths of both carriageways of the A3(M) between Horndean Interchange (A3(M) and Junction 5 (Broad Marsh Interchange (A27/A2030)).
(b) impose overnight hard shoulder running on the lengths of the Motorway described above in (a); and
(c) to authorise the phased overnight closure of -
(i) lengths of the A3(M) carriageways described in (a) above,
(ii) the slip and link roads leading to and from both carriageways of the A3(M) described in (a) above. These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake a 12 month programme of planned cyclical maintenance.

Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the M3 Motorway Road in the Counties of Surrey and Hampshire, under section14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order would be to authorise the following:
(a) to impose an overnight temporary mandatory 50mph speed restriction on lengths of both carriageways of the M3 between its junction with the M25 at Junction 2 and its junction with the M27 at Junction 14 and;
(b) to authorise the phased overnight closure of -
(i) lengths of the M3 carriageways described in (a) above,
(ii) the slip and link roads leading to and from both carriageways of the M3 described in (a) above.
These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake a 12 month programme of planned cyclical maintenance.
