Betws Common Holdings Ltd. 21 Carmarthen Street, Llandeilo Carmarthenshire, SA19 6AN Betws Common Holdings Ltd. has applied to the Welsh Ministers for consent under Section 38 of the Commons Act 2006, to carry out restricted works on land known as the Betws Common (CL 34). The Proposed works will comprise :-
Betws Common Holdings Ltd. has applied to the Welsh Ministers for consent under Section 38 of the Commons Act 2006, to carry out restricted works on land known as the Betws Common (CL 34). The Proposed works will comprise :-
(i) Erection of a double stock proof fence 1.35/1.4mts in height alongside the northern/southern (as per Comment 1) boundary line of the common, a total length of 1334 Mtrs (Area 2 on location plan).
(ii) Erection of the single stock proof fence 1.35/1.4mtrs in height alongside the southern boundary line alongside a natural boundary dividing brook by the name of River Cathan, a total length of
53 Mtrs (Area 1 on location plan).
(iii) Forming cattle grids, where the proposed fence line crosses road/lanes with adequate vehicular crossing points, together with controlled livestock crossings.
The works are located south of the Mynydd y Betws wind farm and west of Henrhyd Farm on Betws Mountain. When travelling south on Mountain road, at a minor junction in the road, Area 1 is on the right hand side and Area 2 is on the left.
