NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wigan Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made the Wigan Borough (Decriminalisation of Parking) (Leigh Roads) [Traffic Regulation Consolidation) Order 2004 (Amendment No. 115) Order 2016 which will come into operation on 16th December 2016
The effect of the Order will be to revoke the no waiting at any time on:-

A copy of the Order and of the relevant map may be inspected at the Town Hall, Library Street, Wigan, between 9am. and 4.30pm. on any day from Monday to Friday and at Leigh Library on its usual days and times of opening to the public. Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained therein on the ground -
(a) that it is not within the powers of Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984; or the Traffic Management Act 2004 or
(b) that any requirement of the said Section 1, or of Part III of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or of any regulations made under the said Part III of Schedule 9 or of any requirement of the 2004 Act, has not been complied with, may within six weeks of 17th November 2016 make application for the purpose to the High Court.

COMPULSORY PURCHASE OF LAND
Notice is hereby given that Wigan Borough Council have made the Wigan Borough Council (1 Elizabeth Street Leigh) Compulsory Purchase Order 2016 under the Housing Act 1985. They are about to submit this Order to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government for confirmation, and if confirmed, the Order will authorise Wigan Borough Council to purchase compulsorily the land described below for the purpose of provision of housing accommodation.
A copy of the Order and of the accompanying map may be seen at all reasonable hours at the office of the Assistant Director Legal, Town Hall, Library Street, Wigan, and at Leigh Library Turnpike Centre, Civic Square, Market Street Leigh WN71EB and may be seen there at all reasonable hours. Any objection to the Order must be made in writing to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, National Planning Casework Unit 5 St Philip's Place Colmore Row Birmingham B3 2PW, before the 22nd December 2016 and should state the title of the Order and the grounds of objection and the objector's address and interests in the land.
DESCRIPTION OF LAND
A plot of land situate in Elizabeth Street Leigh together with the dwellinghouse and any outbuildings erected thereon and known as 1 Elizabeth Street Leigh comprising 50.5 square metres. Dated this 24th day of November 2016.
