TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2016

NOTICE IS GIVEN that under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Lake District National Park Authority intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order. The effect of the order will be to prohibit public traffic for all purposes from proceeding over bridleway 581031 at South of Glebe Road, Windermere, between the footpath junction north of the Ferry car park at SD 3996 9631 and Glebe Road at SD 3985 9601, to enable United Utilities to install a new mains sewer pipeline.
The notice and plan showing the route concerned may be inspected at National Park Authority, Murley Moss, Oxenholme Road, Kendal, LA9 7RL, at South Lakeland District Council, South Lakeland House, Lowther Street, Kendal, LA9 4DQ, and at Windermere TIC, Windermere Tourist Information Centre, Victoria Street, Windermere, LA23 1AD, during normal office or opening hours, and online at www.lakedistrict.gov. uk/visiting/thingstodo/rowupdates/rowclosures. The order will take effect on 2 January 2017 and will continue in force for six months, although the works are expected to only last for a few weeks in January. When works are taking place, signs will be erected showing the closed path and the alternative route. The path will be accessible as normal other than on these days. If the works have not been completed it may be extended for a further period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
