SOUTH LAKELAND DISTRICT COUNCIL TOWN POLICE CLAUSES ACT 1847
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to facilitate the KENDAL CHRISTMAS LIGHTS PARADE AND SWITCH-ON EVENT, the South Lakeland District Council has made the under­mentioned Order.
THE DIVERSION OF TRAFFIC, KENDAL (KENDAL CHRISTMAS LIGHTS PARADE AND SWITCH-ON EVENT) ORDER 2016 THE DISTRICT COUNCIL of SOUTH LAKELAND in the County of Cumbria under and by virtue of the powers contained in Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 DO HEREBY ORDER THAT:-
Those streets in Kendal specified in the First Schedule hereto shall be closed to all vehicles save those vehicles involved in the Kendal Christmas Lights Parade and Switch-on Event, and emergency vehicles (and Market activities in the case of Highgate), during the period 3.30pm to 5.00pm on Sunday, 27th November 2016. It is anticipated however that the closure shall only be in operation for such period of time as is necessary to allow a procession to proceed along the route of those specified streets, with the exception of Highgate (Town Hall to Finkle Street) and Stricklandgate (Finkle Street to Library Road) which will be closed for the duration. Those streets in Kendal specified in the Second Schedule hereto shall be closed to all vehicles save those vehicles involved in the Kendal Christmas Lights Parade and Switch-on Event, and emergency vehicles, during the period 9.00am to 8.00pm on Sunday, 27th November 2016. The alternative routes to be observed by all vehicles other than those mentioned above shall be as specified in the Third Schedule hereto.
THIS ORDER may be cited as "The Diversion of Traffic, Kendal (Kendal Christmas Lights Parade and Switch-on Event) Order 2016".

Kirkland, Highgate (from Gillinggate to Town Hall)
SECOND SCHEDULE
Stricklandgate (from Library Road to Finkle Street), Highgate (from Finkle Street to Town Hall)
THIRD SCHEDULE
