NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER CYCLE TRACKS ACT 1984 SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL
FOOTPATHS 52, 54, 476, 479, 480, 502, 517, 632, 633, 633A, 652, 653 & 654 SWINDON CYCLE TRACKS ORDER 2016
On 21 September 2016 Swindon Borough Council confirmed the above order made under Section 3 of the Cycle Tracks Act 1984.
The effect of the order as confirmed is to designate as cycle tracks those lengths of Footpath 52 Swindon between Welton Road and Ashworth Road, and between Ashworth Road and Paddington Drive commencing at OS grid reference SU 12914 84408; the full length of Footpath 54 Swindon situate at Wootton Bassett Road commencing at OS grid reference SU 13079 84110; that length of Footpath 476 Swindon situate at Stansfield Close commencing at OS grid reference SU 12483 83588; that length of Footpath 479 Swindon between Stansfield Close and Flint Hill commencing at OS grid reference SU 12522 83637; the full length of Footpath 480 Swindon situate at Bodiam Drive South commencing at OS grid reference SU 12710 83690; the full length of Footpath 502 Swindon between Westlea Drive and Tewkesbury Way commencing at OS grid reference SU 12504 84221; the full length of Footpath 517 Swindon situate at Alveston Close commencing at OS grid reference SU 12496 84614; the full length of Footpath 633/633A Swidon between Welton Road, Alveston Close and Westlea Drive commencing at OS grid reference SU 12777 84547; the full length of Footpath 632 Swindon situate at Risingham Mead commencing at OS grid reference SU 12098 84268; the full length of Footpath 652 Swindon between Barnfield and Westmead Drive commencing at OS grid reference SU 12909 85401; the full length of Footpath 653 Swindon between Rivermead Drive and Shaw Road commencing at OS grid reference SU 12389 85373; and that length of Footpath 654 Swindon between Chelmsford Road and Shaw Road commencing at OS grid reference SU 12147 85086.
A copy of the order and the order maps has been placed and may be seen free of charge at The One Stop Shop, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Copies of the order and maps may be bought there at the price of £15.00.
The order comes into force on 20 December 2016, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Cycle Tracks Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or of any Regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under subsection 6 of Section 3 of the Act, within 28 days from the date of this order make an application to the High Court.
