WOKINGHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL (SWALLOWFIELD ROAD, ARBORFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2016
NOTICE IS HEREBY given that Wokingham Borough Council as Traffic Authority proposes to make an order under Section 14(1 )(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Swallowfield Road, Arborfield between its junctions with the Arborfield Cross Roundabout (A327) and Church Road.
NOTICE IS HEREBY given that Wokingham Borough Council as Traffic Authority proposes to make an order under Section 14(1 )(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Swallowfield Road, Arborfield between its junctions with the Arborfield Cross Roundabout (A327) and Church Road.
The reason for this restriction is to enable pedestrian upgrade works to be undertaken in safety.
The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the closure above will be via A327 Eversley Road, Church Road, Bunglers Hill, and Church Road, or by this route in reverse. Access to properties located within the boundary of the closure will be maintained where possible.
The restrictions shall only apply when the appropriate signs and markings are lawfully displayed in the road.
The Order will come into operation on the 8th day of December 2016 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is expected that the closure will be undertaken during the hours of 09:30 and 16:00, and it is anticipated that all the works will be completed on the 15th December 2016.
