ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY FOOTPATH/CYCLEWAY CLOSURE WATERLOO ROAD (BETWEEN FLEETSBRIDGE ROUNDABOUT AND ITS JUNCTION WITH HATCH POND ROAD) THE POOLE (WATERLOO ROAD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF

PEDESTRIANS AND CYCLISTS) ORDER 2016

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Borough and County of the Town of Poole, the Highway Authority, is satisfied that pedestrians and cyclists on the said footpath/cycleway should be prohibited and has made an Order in exercise of its powers under Section 5, 14(1), 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers as detailed above, the effect of this Order is that no person shall cause or permit any pedestrian or cyclist to proceed along that part of Waterloo Road Footpath/Cycleway affected by the works.

The closure is required for a new mains connection to the Lidl Store.

The proposed Order is effective between Monday 5 December 2016 until Friday 9 December 2016. The Order is operative for the period mentioned above but will continue in force for the statutory period of eighteen months if required.

If the works are not completed within the statutory

period the Order may be extended with the approval of

the Secretary of State for Transport.

Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in

contravention of the Order will be liable on summary

conviction to a fine not exceeding £400.
