PLANNING APPLICATION ACCOMPANIED BY AN ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT ADDENDUM

Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (England) Order 2010

Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) (England and Wales) Regulations 1999

We hereby give notice under Article 13(3) of the Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (England) Order 2010 and Regulation 19(3) of the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) (England and Wales) Regulations 1999 that the Vale of White Horse District Council has received the following Addendum to the Environmental Statement accompanying the Planning Application and Environmental Statement submitted on 31 January 2011 which is referred to below:

Application Number: GFA/21479 - 11/00146/FUL

Location: Land to the north of Gloucester Street, Faringdon, Oxfordshire.

Proposal: Erection of a new retail store (Use Class A1), access/egress arrangements, customer car park, service yard, highway improvements, landscaping and other associated works and improvements.

Applicant: Waitrose Ltd and The Trustees of The Faringdon House Estate.

The original planning application and Environmental Statement submitted on 31st January 2011 and the Addendum to the Environmental Statement as submitted on 24 May 2011 may be examined between the hours of 8:45am to 5:15pm on Mondays and 8:45am to 5:00pm on Tuesdays to Fridays at Vale of White Horse District Council, Abbey House, Abbey Close, Abingdon, OX14 3JE (Tel: 01235 520202). It is advisable to make an appointment prior to arrival at the office.

Copies of the ES Addendum on compact disc can be acquired from the Council offices or hard copies can be purchased at a cost of £50.

Alternatively, the planning application, Environmental Statement and the Addendum to the Environmental Statement can be viewed online via the Council’s online planning application register which can be found at www.whitehorsedc.gov.uk/Planning. Simply click on the link for Planning Applications followed by Public Access. Once you have accepted the disclaimer click on Application Search and enter the application number 11/00146/FUL.

If you wish to comment on the environmental effects of the Addendum to the Environmental Statement you can do this online using the Public Access system.

Once you have found the application (following the steps outlined above) and have chosen to view more details about the application you need to select the Submit Comments button at the top of the page. Alternatively you can submit comments by writing to Planning Services, Vale of White Horse District Council, Abbey House, Abbey Close, Abingdon OX14 3JE.

Representations regarding the environmental effects of the Addendum to the Environmental Statement must be received within 21 days of the date of this advertisement (26 May 2011) to be taken into consideration by the Council in reaching a decision on the planning application.
