THE HART DISTRICT COUNCIL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE)
(TOTTERS LANE, HOOK) ORDER 2011
Notice is hereby given that Hart District Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council under Sections 14(1), (2) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Regulation 3 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992, and of all other enabling powers, proposes to make the following Order as the Council are satisfied that traffic (and/or pedestrians) on the road should be restricted because these works are proposed to be executed on or near the road:
Effect of Order:
All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along the entire length of Totters Lane between its junction with the A30 London Road and its junction with the B3016 Odiham Road, as indicated by traffic signs.
The closure and speed limit restriction are necessary on safety grounds to allow for Hampshire County Council to carry out carriageway repair work.
This Order may be cited as β€œThe Hart District Council (Temporary Road Closure) (Totters Lane, Hook) Order 2011”.
Duration of Closure:
From 5th September 2011 for a period of 12 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 week). The closure will be continuously enforced during the period specified.
Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
Alternative Route:
From the northern point of closure via A30 London Road, B3349 Griffin Way South, B3349 Station Road, A287 Farnham Road and B3016 London Road to southern point of closure and vice versa, as indicated by traffic signs.
If you have any queries regarding the above please contact Hampshire Highways North on 0845 603 5633.
